Parenthesis on the coast

Arrival at Montevideo airport, you are welcomed by our guide. Transfer to your hotel to drop off your luggage. And you have already left for a half-day private tour of Montevideo with your guide. You will visit the most emblematic places of the capital like the Palacio Legislativo, the avenue of July 18th, the Centenario stadium or the Prado Park. You will also walk along the famous Rambla along the coast.

You will have lunch at the Mercado Del Puerto. It is the place where to taste the local specialties. The menu consists of a Brazier(large barbecue)with many types of meat accompanied by potatoes cooked in.

Departure by bus from your hotel for a Full day at Punta del Este. First you will visit the coastal town of Piriápolis and Cerro San Antonio with its magnificent panoramic view. Then the excursion will continue to Punta del Este where you will have the opportunity to visit the most emblematic places. You will discover its historic district, the Marina of Candelaria, the lighthouse and the famous sculpture of Los Dedos.

This prestigious seaside resort will also delight art lovers with the visit of Casa Pueblo dedicated to the famous artist Carlos Paez Vilaró. In the place they can watch a short film about the artist’s life and tour the museum with several of his works (entrance not included).

Located 30 minutes from the center of Montevideo, you will have the privilege to visit one of the main Bodega Boutique of Uruguay. Medal winner at the international level, this Bodega has already received 75 awards. You will have the opportunity to taste the different wines of the property but also have lunch on site.

Departure by bus from Montevideo for an excursion to this historic city of Colonia declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will visit the historic center with the famous “Calle de los Suspiros”(Street of Sighs), the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, the Bastion of St Peter, the port and the lighthouse. We will continue along the coast to reach the old Real de San Carlos arena and the church of San Benito. (Regular excursion: english, spanish, portuguese).

After lunch in the city of Colonia del Sacramento
You will arrive at the port and take the ferry to Buenos Aires. It is a direct ferry that connects the two countries. You will travel for about an hour through the estuary.
